We tend to soak up all the negative vibes and emotions, which can be exhausting, as well as stressful. The worst part is that it can make us feel like we don’t want to go out of the house or connect with others.

Crystals can take the edge of some of this intensity and help us stay clear, grounded, and protected, so we can enjoy spending time with those we love!

Below is a list of 9 different crystals that can help with spiritual protection for anyone that is drawn to them, but I feel these crystals are especially beneficial for Empaths.

The best way to choose a crystal to help you is by understanding which crystal is tuned into the frequency of energy that will shield you from a specific kind of vibration.

For example: If you’re an Empath, there is no crystal that will make you immune to feeling the energy of others, but specific crystals can help shield you from an energy overload!

The best way to find out what works for you is to experiment with different crystals and see what happens.

My favourite crystal to work with is Black Obsidian and I have large and small pieces all over my home. I find this is the best one to help me with any form of negative energy and I also find it a powerful ally in my own spiritual & healing work.

The easiest way to use crystals for protection is to carry them. A small tumble stone will do well to start with and if you find it works well for you then you can invest in larger pieces for your home or as a piece of jewelry.

You should also make sure you cleanse your crystals regularly, especially if you wear or carry one as these will pick up more negativity more quickly.

You can also program your crystal to aid your spiritual protection even more.

Black Tourmaline

Black Tourmaline is a powerful stone for protection against negative energy of all kinds, as well as being a strong spiritual grounding stone. It’s probably the best crystal for repelling lower energies and frequencies.

The reason Black Tourmaline is so effective is that it transmutes negative energy into positive. This acts like a force field around you, to keep other people's bad thoughts and feelings away.
