This is the privacy notice of Blissfully Free. In this document, "I", "Me", “My” or “website” refers to Blissfully Free.

Blissfully Free is based in the UK and run by Sarah Shepherd

By using this site or/and my services, you consent to the Processing of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy.

As the controller, Sarah Shepherd has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed.

I reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy.

Last modification was made 6th October 2019.

Introduction

This privacy notice aims to inform you about how I collect and process any information that I collect from you, or that you provide to me. It covers information that could identify you (“personal information”) and information that could not. In the context of the law and this notice, “process” means collect, store, transfer, use or otherwise act on information. It tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

I am committed to protecting your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information. This policy is not just an exercise in complying with the law, but a continuation of my respect for you and your personal information.

I undertake to preserve the confidentiality of all information you provide to me and hope that you reciprocate.

This policy complies with the Data Protection Act 2018 (Act) accordingly incorporating the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The law requires me to tell you about your rights and our obligations to you in regard to the processing and control of your personal data. I do this now, by requesting that you read the information provided at http://www.knowyourprivacyrights.org

Except as set out below, I do not share, or sell, or disclose to a third party, any information collected through this website.

I, Sarah Shepherd am responsible for ensuring that this policy is followed.

If you have any questions about this privacy notice, including any requests to exercise your legal rights, please contact Sarah Shepherd using the contact form or telephone number provided here.

Data I process

I may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you. I have collated these into groups as follows:

  1. Your identity includes information such as first name, last name, title, and other identifiers that you may have provided at some time.

  2. Your contact information includes information such as billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone numbers and any other information you have given to me for the purpose of purchases, communication or appointments.

  3. Your financial data includes information such as your bank account and payment card details.

  4. Transaction data includes details about payments or communications to and from you and information about products and services you have purchased from me.

  5. Technical data includes your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.

  6. Your profile includes information such as your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, feedback and survey responses.

  7. Marketing data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from me; communication preferences; responses and actions in relation to your use of my services.

  8. I may aggregate anonymous data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Anonymous data is data that does not identify you as an individual. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal information in law because it does not reveal your identity. For example, I may aggregate profile data to assess interest in a product or service.

  9. However, if I combine or connect aggregated data with your personal information so that it can identify you in any way, I treat the combined data as personal information and it will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.

Special personal information

Special personal information is data about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data.

I may collect special personal information about you relating to your health if there is a lawful basis on which to do so.

If you do not provide personal information I need

Where I need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract I have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, I may not be able to perform that contract. In that case, I may have to stop providing a service to you. If so, I will notify you of this at the time.

The bases on which I process information about you

The law requires us to determine under which of six defined bases I process different categories of your personal information, and to notify you of the basis for each category.

If a basis on which I process your personal information is no longer relevant, then I shall immediately stop processing your data.

If the basis changes then if required by law I shall notify you of the change and of any new basis under which I have determined that I can continue to process your information.

Information I process because I have a contractual obligation with you

When you create an account on this website, buy a product or service from me, or otherwise agree to our terms and conditions, a contract is formed between you and me.

In order to carry out my obligations under that contract I must process the information you give me. Some of this information may be personal information.

I may use it in order to:

  • Verify your identity for security purposes

  • Sell products to you

  • Provide you with services

  • Provide you with suggestions and advice on products, services and how to obtain the most from using this website

I process this information on the basis there is a contract between us, or that you have requested I use the information before I enter into a legal contract.

I shall continue to process this information until the contract between us ends or is terminated by either party under the terms of the contract.

Information relating to your method of payment

Payment information is never taken by me or transferred to me either through my website or otherwise.

At the point of payment, you are transferred to a secure page on the website of PayPal or Stripe, which are both reputable payment service providers. That page may be branded to look like a page on this website, but it is not controlled by me.

Payment Method: Data protection provisions about the use of PayPal as a payment processor

PayPal’s full privacy policy can be found here.

On this website, I have integrated components of PayPal. PayPal is an online payment service provider. Payments are processed via so-called PayPal accounts, which represent virtual private or business accounts.

PayPal is also able to process virtual payments through credit cards when a user does not have a PayPal account. A PayPal account is managed via an e-mail address, which is why there are no classic account numbers. PayPal makes it possible to trigger online payments to third parties or to receive payments. PayPal also accepts trustee functions and offers buyer protection services.

The European operating company of PayPal is PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l. & Cie. S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, 2449 Luxembourg, Luxembourg.

If the data subject chooses "PayPal" as the payment option during the ordering process, your data is automatically transmitted to PayPal. By selecting this payment option, you agree to the transfer of personal data required for payment processing.

The personal data transmitted to PayPal is usually first name, last name, address, email address, IP address, telephone number, mobile phone number, or other data necessary for payment processing. The processing of the purchase contract also requires such personal data, which are in connection with the respective order.

The transmission of the data is aimed at payment processing and fraud prevention. The personal data exchanged between PayPal and this website for the processing of the data will be transmitted by PayPal to economic credit agencies. This transmission is intended for identity and creditworthiness checks.

PayPal will, if necessary, pass on personal data to affiliates and service providers or subcontractors to the extent that this is necessary to fulfil contractual obligations or for data to be processed in the order.

The data subject has the possibility to revoke consent for the handling of personal data at any time from PayPal. A revocation shall not have any effect on personal data which must be processed, used or transmitted in accordance with (contractual) payment processing.

Payment Method: Data protection provisions about the use of Stripe as a payment processor

Stripes’s full privacy policy can be found here.

On this website, I have integrated components of Stripe. Stripe is authorised as an electronic money institution by the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (reference number: 900461) to issue electronic money, enable cash placement and cash withdrawal services on payment accounts, execute payment transactions, make money remittances, and acquire payment transactions (the “Authorised Payment Services”).

Payments are processed via Stripe for credit cards or debit card to make payment on this website. Blissfully Free uses tokenized payment information to securely process payments on Stripe and keep cardholder’s information safe.

Stripe is now a principal acquiring member of the Visa and Mastercard networks in Europe. Stripe Payments UK, Ltd. which has its principal place of business at 7th Floor, The Bower Warehouse, 211 Old Street, London EC1V 9NR, United Kingdom.

If you choose to pay by credit card as the payment option on this website during the ordering process, your data is automatically transmitted to Stripe. By selecting this payment option, you agree to the transfer of personal data required for payment processing.

The personal data transmitted to Stripe is usually first name, last name, address, email address, IP address, telephone number, mobile phone number, or other data necessary for payment processing. The processing of the purchase contract also requires such personal data, which are in connection with the respective order.

The transmission of the data is aimed at payment processing and fraud prevention. I will transfer personal data to Stripe, in particular, if a legitimate interest in the transmission is given. The personal data exchanged between Stripe and this website for the processing of the data will be transmitted by Stripe to economic credit agencies. This transmission is intended for identity and creditworthiness checks.

Stripe will, if necessary, pass on personal data to affiliates and service providers or subcontractors to the extent that this is necessary to fulfil contractual obligations or for data to be processed in the order.

Customer accounts and subscriptions

Please make sure others don't have access to your Accounts or passwords. You're solely responsible for any activity on your Accounts and for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your passwords. I am not liable for any acts or omissions by you in connection with your Accounts. You must immediately notify me if you know or have any reason to suspect that your Accounts or passwords have been stolen, misappropriated or otherwise compromised or in case of any actual or suspected unauthorized use of your Accounts.

Information I process with your consent

Through certain actions when otherwise there is no contractual relationship between us, such as when you browse this website or ask me to provide you more information about my business, including products and services, you provide your consent to me to process information that may be personal information.

Wherever possible, I aim to obtain your explicit consent to process this information, for example, by asking you to agree to the use of cookies.

I continue to process your information on this basis until you withdraw your consent or it can be reasonably assumed that your consent no longer exists.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by instructing me, Sarah Shepherd, using the contact form provided here.

However, if you do so, you may not be able to use this website or my services further.

Subscription to newsletter

On this website, users are given the opportunity to subscribe to a newsletter.

I informs customers regularly by means of a newsletter about offers. Blissfully Free's newsletter may only be received if (1) you have a valid e-mail address and (2) you register for the newsletter.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided when signing up to the newsletter. I use the double opt-in procedure for my newsletter. This confirmation e-mail is used to prove whether the owner of the e-mail address is authorized to receive the newsletter.

During the registration for the newsletter, the service providers used, Madmimi and Mailchimp, store the IP address of the computer system assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) and used by you at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of the registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to understand the (possible) misuse of the e-mail address at a later date, and it therefore serves the aim of the legal protection of this website.

The personal data collected as part of a registration for the newsletter will only be used to send out my newsletter.

In addition, subscribers to the newsletter may be informed by e-mail, as long as this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a registration in question, as this could be the case in the event of modifications to the newsletter offer, or in the event of a change in technical circumstances.

There will be no transfer of personal data collected by the newsletter service to third parties.

The subscription to my newsletter may be terminated by you at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data, which the data subject has given for shipping the newsletter, may be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revocation of consent, a corresponding link is found in each newsletter.

It is also possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by contacting me directly and asking to be unsubscribed from these communications.

Information I process for the purposes of legitimate interests

I may process information on the basis there is a legitimate interest, either to you or to me, of doing so.

Where I process your information on this basis, I do after having given careful consideration to:

  • whether the same objective could be achieved through other means

  • whether processing (or not processing) might cause you harm

  • whether you would expect us to process your data, and whether you would, in the round, consider it reasonable to do so

For example, I may process your data on this basis for the purposes of:

  • record-keeping for the proper and necessary administration of my business

  • responding to unsolicited communication from you to which I believe you would expect a response

  • protecting and asserting the legal rights of any party

  • insuring against or obtaining professional advice that is required to manage my business risk

  • protecting your interests where I believe I have a duty to do so

Information I process because I have a legal obligation

Sometimes, I must process your information in order to comply with a statutory obligation.

For example, I may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request or if they have the proper authorisation such as a search warrant or court order.

This may include your personal information.

I do not specifically use this information except to allow it to be displayed or shared.

I do store it, and I reserve a right to use it in the future in any way I decide.

Once your information enters the public domain, I have no control over what any individual third party may do with it. I accept no responsibility for their actions at any time.

I do this as infrequently as possible, but it is a matter for my sole discretion as to whether I do give information, and if I do, what that information is.

I may also compile statistics showing information obtained from this source to assess the level of service I provide, but not in a way that could identify you or any other person.
